Ian Karten

      After the war Ian Karten established himself as a successful industrialist. In 1980 he started his "third career" as philanthropist founding the "Ian Karten Charitable Trust" which provides scholarships and has established 100 centres for disabled people offering computer-aided vocational training, education and communication in Great Britain, Ireland and Israel since 1996. Ian Karten and his wife Mildred made their home in Ripley, Surrey. Ian Karten, MBE, passes away 8 May, 2011.
